At its core are the Nine Centers, derived from ancient wisdom traditions like the chakra system, Kabbalah, and the I'Ching. These centers act as energetic hubs, continuously processing and transforming life force within your system.
Each center governs specific themes, functions, and forms of awareness. In your personal chart, some centers will be defined (colored in), indicating a consistent and reliable flow of energy and a fixed way of operating for you.
Others will be undefined (white), signifying areas where you are open, receptive, and designed to amplify the energies of others and the world around you.

The Nine Centers
Head Center (Pressure/Inspiration)
Located at the very top of the BodyGraph, the Head Center is a pressure center, representing the pressure to think, question, and find answers. It's the source of inspiration and mental dilemmas.
Ajna Center (Mind/Awareness)
This awareness center, located in the head, is where we process and conceptualize information. It's about mental awareness, opinions, beliefs, and understanding.
Throat Center (Communication/Manifestation)
As the great connector, the Throat Center is all about communication, expression, and bringing things into being. It's where energy is manifested and transformed into action or words.
G Center (Identity/Love/Direction)
Situated at the heart of the BodyGraph, the G Center is the source of your identity, your sense of love, and your direction in life. It's your unique magnetic monopole, drawing you along your correct path.
Heart/Ego Center (Willpower/Material World)
This motor center is connected to willpower, ego strength, self-worth, and the material world. It's about promises, commitments, and proving oneself.
Sacral Center (Life Force/Response)
The most powerful motor center in Human Design, the Sacral is the source of life force, sustainability, and consistent energy for work and reproduction. It expresses itself through guttural sounds and responses.
Splenic Center (Intuition/Instinct/Fear)
An ancient awareness center, the Spleen is linked to your immune system, intuition, instinct, and a primal sense of well-being or fear. Its awareness is spontaneous and in-the-moment.
Solar Plexus Center (Emotions/Awareness/Spirit)
This evolving motor and awareness center governs emotions, spirit, and a profound form of truth and awareness that develops over time. It's a biochemical wave of feeling.
Root Center (Adrenaline/Pressure)
Located at the bottom of the BodyGraph, the Root is a pressure motor, providing the drive and adrenaline to initiate action and deal with stress.
